Changdeokgung is one of the five palaces located in the city of Seoul. It was destroyed during the Japanese invasion in the 1590s, and was rebuilt in 1897. Within the outer stone walls of the palace, there are spacious spaces, surrounded by parks. The walls, windows, roof beams and even the ceilings of the buildings are decorated with detailed painted patterns, and their roofs are covered with traditional Korean tiles, which are still made by hand faithfully to the traditions. The palace is surrounded by the city from all directions, it is a special sight to see these old buildings with modern apartments and skyscrapers towering behind them.  We visited the palace in the spring of 2022 during covid. There were mainly local visitors that day, luckily it wasn't crowded, and the weather was in our favor. A popular location for wedding and traditional photo shoots, we met several couples and young people who took photos in traditional Korean clothing in the park and around the palace. We spent long hours here, in a calm, pleasant atmosphere in the middle of buzzing Seoul. If you are in this city you sould definitely visit this place! 

Changdeokgung egy az öt palotából ami Szöul városában található. 1590-es években a Japán invázió során elpusztult, újjáépítésére 1897-ben került sor. A palota külső kőfalain belül tágas terek találhatóak, parkokkal körülölelve. Az épületek falai, ablakai, tető gerendái és még a mennyezetei is részletgazdag festett mintákkal vannak díszítve, tetejüket tradicionális koreai cserép borítja, amiket a mai napig a hagyományokhoz hűen kézzel készítenek.  A palotát minden irányból körülveszi a város, különleges látvány látni ezeket a régi épületeket a mögöttük tornyosuló modern lakóházakkal és felhőkarcolókkal. A palotát 2022 tavaszán látogattuk meg a covid alatt. Aznap főleg helyi látogatók voltak, szerencsére nem volt zsúfolt, az idő is nekünk kedvezett. Esküvői és tradicionális fotózások közkedvelt helyszíne, több párral és fiatallal találkoztunk akik tradicionális koreai öltözetben fotózkodtak a parkban és a palota körül. Hosszú órákat töltöttünk el itt, nyugodt, kellemes hangulatban a nyüzsgő Szöul közepén. Ha ebben a városban jársz feltétlenül látogass el erre a helyre!
